What is an Annual General Meeting (AGM)?
The AGM is a meeting inn which the members of TSC elect or re-elect elected board positions, review constitutional changes, and approve the preliminary budget for next year.
Who can attend the AGM and vote?
All members in good standing are welcome to attend. A member in good standing is a properly registered player, a parent/guardian of all properly registered players, or a registered adult participant 18 years of age or older who has all dues paid in full and on time and is also not under any suspension by TSC, our governing Association, Washington Youth Soccer, or US Soccer. Only members 18 years or older are allowed to vote.
What will be voted on?
Votes will take place to elect or re-elect board positions that are up for election this year, approve a new version of the TSC Constitution, and approve the preliminary budget for next year.
What board positions are up for election this year?
The following positions are up for election:
1. Secretary (Vacant)
2. Director of Coaching
3. Director of Mod Competition (Will Not Run for Re-Election)
4. Director of Fields
5. Director of Ref Admin
6. Association Club Representative
Some officers might run for re-election, some might retire, and one position is vacant. Please email Haille McGill at [email protected] for more information. All board positions listed above will be brought to a vote of the general membership at the AGM regardless of the current status. All positions are two-year terms. For information on the duties of the positions, refer to the TSC Bylaws which can be found on the Documents page.
How do I run for a board position?
If you or someone you know (who is a member in good standing) would like to join the TSC Board of Directors, you may be nominated or nominate them at the AGM or you can submit your nomination at the monthly board meeting before the AGM (October 19th, 2025). You will need to be prepared to speak to the rest of the membership on why you would like to join the board and in what ways you are qualified. If you wish to nominate someone who cannot be present at the AGM, proof of consent must be provided.
