Recreational Coaching Registration

Welcome to our TSC Coaching family and Thank you for volunteering you time to coach with TSC this Fall!


Coach Expectations

Tracyton Soccer coaches will sign and abide by our Coaches Code of Conduct. Coaches will provide a safe and positive learning environment for all Players. Coaches will understand that they are role models for players and, therefore, will always display appropriate behavior and language around players, families, officials and opponents.

Coaching Responsibilities

1.Attend a preseason coaches meeting. Collect information, uniforms, and equipment.
(This is usually 1-2 hours of your time to be run by TSC Board of Directors.)
2. Contact your team. Hand out uniforms and schedule.
3. Conduct one or two practices a week.
4. 
Coach on game day. Arrive 20-30 min before game time. During the game, substitute players consistently and evenly.
5. Maintain communication with our Board and Parents throughout the season. Notify all participants about game/practice cancellations and any equipment/field/participant troubles.

All Tracyton Coaches, managers, volunteers will Register in Affinity for a background check before actively participating.

Please follow the steps below to complete your Safe Sports certification, WYS background check,  and Complete your SCAA Compliance (once every 3 years).  If you have any questions or concerns along the way, please don't hesitate in contacting the TSC Registrar Susie McGill at [email protected].

Please save a copy of your Safe Sports. Concussion Compliance and SCCA Certificates these will need to be uploaded to your WYS account when you apply for your BGC for the 2020 – 2021 season.

Registering to Coach for Fall 2020

There are a lot of changes for registering for this upcoming year. It is important to use the exact same legal name and email address in all places. Registration on the Tracyton Soccer Website will be done during your player registration.  If you do not have a player please watch for information on how to register on the TSC website.  In meantime please complete all the below steps. 

SafeSports:

Go to https://safesport.org/authentication/signin and complete the 15 minute refresher course for Safesports.  Save the certificate to upload into your BGC (Background Check) in that step

Concussion: 

Every year, each WA Youth Soccer coach/assistant coach/team manager must complete an online concussion prevention program.  Save the certificate to upload into your BGC (Background Check) in that step

Sudden Cardiac Arrest: 

Every three years, each WA Youth Soccer coach/assistant coach/team manager must complete an online Sudden Cardiac Arrest prevention program Save the certificate to upload into your BGC (Background Check) in that step

Washington Youth Soccer Background Check

1. Visit https://secure.sportsaffinity.com/reg/Public/registration/login.aspx?domain=wys-bgc.affinitysoccer.com&language=english&sessionguid= 

2. Login

3. Choose Play level "Background Check"

4. Enter information and Upload Safesports Certificate

5. Check all the boxes and sign.  

6. Submit BGC once.  You will receive and email when this step is completed.

Safe Sports Act - For new coaches

Early in 2018, Congress passed the Safe Sport Authorization Act requiring specialized training for all volunteers working with young athletes nationwide. All Risk Management will expire on April 30th of each year beginning this year.  .  The online training is now ready for us to take part. All coaches, board members, and volunteers with in our organization will be required to take these courses. 

The three 30-minute training modules including Sexual Misconduct Awareness, Mandatory Reporting and Emotional and physical misconduct can be found here at the SafeSport website.

Individuals will then be asked to create an account.

The participating organization is US Soccer.

Please complete this training as soon as possible upload you certificates in your account in affinity.  If you took the course last year there is a refresher course in your account at https://safesport.org/authentication/signin .

The initial training will take approximately 2 hours in total and you can log in and out of the system as many times as necessary to complete – your progress will be saved each time.

WYS Background Check

No coach will be allowed to start holding practice or tryouts if the Background Check (BGC) is not completed. This background check must be completed once every soccer season.  Please follow the information below and remember to enter your legal name the same way in all Web sites. An email will be sent at the time that is good to start this.

For New Coaches: RMA Registration 

1.        Choose registration

2.        Create an account  

3.        Follow the direction to register as a coach.

4.        Please choose Tracyton Soccer Club as the club which you will affiliate with.

5.        Finish the registration process

6.        You will receive an email when this step has been completed.

NSYSA Website

This is the website where your schedule will be posted (End of August) for U9 and above teams.  Please make sure you are able to log in to your account.    If you do not have an account  here please create one.
