Tracyton Soccer Club

General Information

Fall 2026 Recreational Soccer through TSC is open to all players ages 3‐19. Registration opens on April 1st, 2026 and the sooner you register the more likely you are to guarantee a spot, though TSC strives to never turn away players. Practices start in August and games start in September. Practices are either Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays at various fields around the Central Kitsap area (see our Field Locations for more information) and are determined by our volunteer coaches. For younger players, the season last for 8 weeks and for older players, the season lasts for 10 weeks with the option to participate in post-season tournaments.

Changes to Registration Starting Fall 2026

Starting with the Fall 2026 Season, US Youth Soccer organizations are shifting to an Aug 1 to Jul 31 age group cycle to align with school calendars, replacing the previous Jan 1 to Dec 31 system. This change is intended to help players stay with their school peers and increase participation.

This will affect all US Youth Soccer league and Cup competitions, including the National Championships and Presidents Cup.

Tracyton Soccer will remain a player-centric organization. If teams want to remain together with their coach, every attempt will be made to do so. However, most of our coaches coach because their child plays and will determine what team they coach based on their player’s age group. If their player’s DOB is after August and before Dec 31st, they might decide to have them play “on-age” and other teammates whose age group is older will not be able to play down with them and stay with that coach.

We understand that the transition might be messy, but we will do everything in our capability to allow players to play with the teammates and coaches they want to.

Team Formation

For recreational soccer, teams are formed by age group and request. The use of tryouts, invitations, recruiting, or any like process to roster players selectively to any team based on talent or ability is prohibited. Age groups are determined by the player's date of birth, roughly in-line with their school grade. See the chart below to see what age group your player is for the 2026 Fall season.

Age groups U5‐U8 are "in house" meaning teams will only play other TSC teams or Kitsap Alliance Academy teams and all games will take place at TSC home fields at Lobe Fields at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds. Teams at these age groups are smaller and play either 3v3 or 4v4 soccer on smaller fields, focusing on the fundamental aspects of the game (not using hands, kicking the ball in the correct direction, etc.).

Age groups U9‐U12 play "Mod Soccer" which is short for modified soccer, a version of the game that resembles traditional soccer but with some rule changes to make it more fair for the players' age. Teams at these age groups are a little larger and play 7v7 and 9v9 including a goalkeeper. These teams will also play against teams from other clubs in the area and roughly half of the games for the season will be home games that are held at TSC home fields at Lobe Fields at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds and the other half will be at the home fields of other soccer clubs in the area. Possible away games locations include Bremerton, Belfair, Bainbridge Island, Silverdale, Poulsbo, Kingston, Chimacum, and Port Orchard.

Age groups U13‐U19 play "Full‐Sided Soccer" which means the same kind of soccer you see professionals play. Teams at these age groups play 11v11 with a goalkeeper on a full‐sided or standard size soccer field. These teams will also play against teams from other clubs in the area and roughly half of the games for the season will be home games that are held at TSC home fields at Gordon Fields at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds and the other half will be at the home fields of other soccer clubs in the area. Possible away games locations include Bremerton, Belfair, Bainbridge Island, Silverdale, Poulsbo, Kingston, Chimacum, and Port Orchard.

When registering, players and families can request to be on specific teams by answering certain questions on the registration form. TSC tries to honor as many requests as possible, but cannot guarantee all requests will be honored. The sooner the request is placed, the more it is prioritized.

Requests can include:

  • playing with a specific friend (please list that friend's first and last name)
  • playing under a specific coach (please list that coach's first and last name)
  • playing with the same team as last year (please list the team name and coach's name if you know it)
  • playing on a different team than a specific player or coach (please list that person's first and last name)

TSC encourages players to play "on age" or with other players of their same age group, however, players can play on a team one age group older as requested or needed. This often occurs if the player has a friend a year older they want to play with or previously played up a year and want to continue playing with that same team. In order to play up, register the player with their correct age group and request to play up in the registration form. Players are not allowed to play in a younger age group except in specific circumstances by medical exemption. For questions about medical exemption, please contact the TSC Registrar.

Players and families can pay in full at the time of registration or pay a $30 down payment per player with the remaining balence due by July 1st, 2025. Players cannot be rostered to a team until their registration is complete including payment in full according to US Youth Soccer rules and players will not be allowed to participate in any TSC event (including practices an games) until they are rostered.

TSC offers a number of discounts for players and families, including the early registration discount, additional player discount, and the family maximum. These discounts can be stacked.

The early registration or early‐bird discount is automatically applied to any registration that goes through before June 15th, 2026.

If a family is registering multiple players, $15 will be taken off each additional family member.

If a family is registering multiple players, they will not have to pay more than the family maximum. If all players in that family are registered for recreational soccer only, the maximum amount is $495 and if they have players registered for recreational and select soccer the maximum amount is $1,100. Due to limitations in the system, the family maximum is set to $1,100 in the system and if you are eligible for the recreational $495 maximum, we ask that you complete registering all players, pay only the $30 per player down payment, and then contact the TSC Registrar.

TSC understands that not all players who want to play recreational soccer can afford to do so and have created and maintained a Scholarship Fund to provide financial aid to those families. For more information about how to apply, please see our Financial Aid page.
